We carried out the assembly when all the parts were ready.
Before that, however, it was necessary to decide the order of the components being assembled.

Product Assembly

First we assembled the front wheel linkage which contained a suspension system and the two back wheels. They were put into the main frame of the electrical tricycle.

Then we did an initial assembly of the frame body of the tricycle, to make sure it could run properly. Actually the product was able to function already at this stage.

After the body cover was installed on the tricycle, the seat was fixed. The assembly process came to an end.

Since many parts of our product were manufactured by basic machining, it was possible for dimension errors.
For example, we had difficulties in putting a 5mm rod into a 5mm hole. So we needed to drill a bigger hole, say 5.2mm, to put in the 5mm rod.
Problems were found in the car body as well. As the car body was manufactured by sheet metal, errors would easily occur due to the folding of sheetmetal. For instance, a gap was found between two metals which was out of our expectation. Moreover, nails could not be fitted into 2 different sheetmetal sheets. Drilling another hole by an electric driller was the solution to this problem.

As the design of the back wheels was different from our expectation; we had difficulties in assembling the back wheel since the electric wires cannot pass thought the holes.
When we faced this problem, the only way was to cut off the electric wires and connect them again after assemble the two back wheels.

When we assembled the car seat into the car body, we faced some problems because we could not hold the seat by screw and nut. So we tried to drill holes on the main frame and turn the screw on it without any nuts. However, we need to cut out a space on the back of the seat to put our hand into the seat to turn the screws.

When we assembled the back wheels onto the main frame, we found that the back wheels were too large. It made our seat too high from the ground. Therefore, we tried to go to the bicycle shop to change the size of the wheels. When they were made to be smaller, the driver could be more comfortable.
