Milling is the process of cut away unwanted material from a work piece by rotating it or feeding it to a rotating cutter. In our project, we need to make a lot of components with Lathe Machine.

First, mount the workpieces on the holding devices. Then choose the suitable cutting tools and a suitable cutting speed. Turn on the machine and produce the desired parts.

Because they are made by different materials, we need to use different cutting tools and cutting speed to produce them. Sometime we have used some wrong cutting tools and wrong cutting speed. So the machine will produce some strange voice. After that, we found that we must choose the cutting tools and the cutting speed carefully and we need to check all of them before we turn on the machine.

When we finish manufacturing the work pieces, we have found that some difficulties in the dimensions. Due to the tolerance of the two pieces may be different, we cannot put them together. So we need to put them into the basic machine again.
